80% students after SSC follow first route.
Since more students opt this route so competition is relatively high and tough.

Route-2: Diploma in Engineering (Duration: 3 years) and and thereafter B.Tech or B.E (Duration: 3 years, direct admission in IInd year to Diploma holders) - Total Duration: 6 years (Exit or Career Change Option: after Diploma)

20% students after SSC follow second route.
This route is relatively easy. Student will need to be more self disciplined, regular and honest to studies.
Diploma students find B.Tech study relatively easy because of technical foundation of Diploma.
It is advised to those who have decided to be Engineer only.

Options to change to any other profession or field of study become very limited.
